Corey Anderson undoubtedly plans to stick around a while now that he has reached the pinnacle of the Professional Fighters League.
“The Ultimate Fighter” Season 19 winner will defend his light heavyweight title for the first time when his rematch opposite Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov serves as the PFL Champions Series 3 co-main event on Friday at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Anderson stopped the American Top Team rep in the third round of their first encounter under the Bellator MMA banner in 2021. He heads into their follow-up battle on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. Anderson last suited up at PFL Champions Series 2, where he moved up to heavyweight and dispatched Denis Goltsov with a burst of second-round elbows on July 19. Yagshimuradov, meanwhile, has rattled off seven straight victories. He last saw action on Nov. 29, when he sacked Impa Kasanganay with punches a mere 58 seconds into their 2024 PFL light heavyweight tournament final.
