For Oban Elliott, winning a UFC roster spot on Dana White's Contender Series last August was the culmination of a dream. For the 26-year-old Welshman, however, contentment does not mean complacency.

Ahead of his debut at UFC 298 on Feb. 17, Elliott (9-2) spoke to Sean Sheehan about the renewed focus that came with his call-up to the UFC, his early career losses in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, and the idea of meeting the man who inspired his "The Welsh Gangster" nickname, Chael Sonnen.
