The 2025 Professional Fighters League World Tournament saw three more champions crowned on Friday night. From fighters who got their tournament opportunity on short notice to a seasoned veteran adding another belt to her collection, 2025 PFL World Tournament 9: Finals delivered.

2025 Women’s Flyweight Queen: Liz Carmouche

A former Bellator MMA champion, Carmouche repeatedly made it known that this tournament was an opportunity for her to get bucket list finishes and she did just that throughout. Taking on Jena Bishop in the finals, Carmouche was able to get through her opponent’s strong grappling in the second round, and in the third frame she would land a vicious left hook that not only closed the show, but secured a belt.

Looking to continue the excellence she has displayed throughout her career, Carmouche called for a super fight at 135 pounds, wanting PFL to add another women’s division. If a bantamweight division is not initiated, Carmouche called for a super fight against 2024 PFL champion and rising flyweight superstar Dakota Ditcheva.

Championship journey: Defeated Ilara Joanne by TKO, Elora Dana by unanimous decision and Bishop by KO.

2025 Bantamweight King: Marcirley Alves

Getting the call to join the tournament on short-notice in the first round back in April, Alves made the most of his opportunity. Taking on Justin Wetzell in the finals, Alves would get the win by unanimous decision. Going all five periods and escaping several submission attempts, Alves would get his hand raised in the end.

Alves would be tested and pushed to the limit throughout his three tournament fights, but in the end, he would overcome it all to become the 2025 PFL Bantamweight World Tournament ace.

Championship journey: Defeated Leandro Higo by split decision, Jake Hadley by unanimous decision and Wetzell by unanimous decision.

2025 Lightweight King: Alfie Davis

When the year began and Davis was announced as part of the lightweight tournament, he stated that he felt it was perfectly made for him. Davis would have a championship row of opponents to go through, defeating former Bellator champ Brent Primus in the semifinals and 2024 PFL champion Gadzhi Rabadanov in the championship bout. Going all 25 minutes, Davis would hear his name called in victory in what would be a massive upset.

Championship journey: Defeated Clay Collard by TKO, Primus by decision and Rabadanov by decision.
